After retiring, he enjoyed seasonal work at Yogi Bear Jellystone Park, Pierceton, IN for an additional 12 years in the maintenance department. Dan enjoyed the outdoors: camping, fishing, working in his yard and travel. Earlier days found him boating and waterskiing. Recent winters saw him as a snowbird enjoying Florida. Dan was a big sports fan rooting for the Chicago White Sox and Bears. He was an avid NASCAR fan and secretly admired Notre Dame. He loved trouble shooting, problem solving and mentoring others. Dan enjoyed clowning around and making people laugh. He was truly loved and will be missed by all whose lives he touched.
